Shavkat Mirziyaev got re-apointed as the primer minister

Шавкат Мирзиеев утвержден Премьер-министром Узбекистана

Today’s joint session of both chambers of parliament approved Shavkat Mirzijaev candidacy as the Prime Minister of the Republic.

RIA “Novosti” reported, the leaders of all parliamentary factions and the deputy group of the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan supported the candidacy of Mirziyaev proposed by the lower house majority party UzLiDeP. For his approval as head of government voted the majority of the 150-member lower house, and all 100 members of the Senate.

Shavkat Mirziyaev, who is 57 years, has served as prime minister since 2003.

The other members of the Cabinet of Ministers will be approved by the president on the recommendation of the prime minister.
